Taxes...

Today, it is important to keep up with the state of the economy. However, it is also important to keep up with the state of your body. Want to save money and lose weight at the same time? There's a simple solution; stop drinking soda. The government is thinking about putting a tax on these sugary drinks so would you want to pay more money and gain more weight just because of sip of coke? I think not. That quotation, from the great philosopher of capitalism, appeared at the start of an article that ran a few weeks ago in The New England Journal of Medicine. The article argued for taxing Coke, Pepsi, Gatorade, Red Bull and any other sugar-sweetened beverage, largely to combat obesity.
